Made in London – Shaped by Life

I was born in Sweden, but my roots stretch to both (Loano) Italy and London – where my parents got married in 1966. That explains my somewhat unusual name: Mimmo Wiestål Fischetti. Since 1995, I’ve been living in Denmark. And yes – life here is pretty dejligt, as the Danes would say 🇩🇰

Entrepreneur

My journey began as a young entrepreneur right after finishing high school in Sweden. I’ve tried a bit of everything – from entertainment and restaurants to running bars, nightclubs, and digital ventures.

I’ve been online long enough to remember when Tom from MySpace was a cult figure. If you know, you know. Back then, the internet felt more like a club than a global stage. And maybe it’s that same curiosity – that drive to explore what’s next – that still keeps me going today? I’ve worked with affiliate marketing, geeked out over WordPress, and played with Shopify.

Pedagogue

Between 2014 and 2024, I worked as a social pedagogue – a role that gave me deep insights into people, life, and society. I met individuals in some of their most vulnerable moments, and it taught me the importance of listening, being present, and approaching others without judgment. It was also a time when I was challenged to reflect on my own boundaries and values – and it gave me not only professional experience but also a deep sense of humility toward life and those we share it with. And it made me better – both as a person and as a fellow human being ♥️

Writer / journalist

Today I work remotely for a fast-growing media house in Denmark “MGDK” – creating stories for Swedish readers about news, society, and technology. I love simplifying the complex – and the freedom that comes with working from my home office 😄
