When I say failed, I mean that I didn’t get rich. We all get in the business of MLM to make money. To get the success and fame we dream about. To get more time freedom. To travel the world and work from first class hotels. But that never happened for me. I didn’t get rich. But I always made my way.
I was always good at the start up. Getting a team started and following the steps of success in the business. I always loved the idea of Network marketing. But after a while it stopped and died on me. The team just stopped moving forward. Why is that? Lack of information and training to do the business? To understand how the machine works? Is important. But not all.
This is not easy to do. It looks easy but it’s not. And the old way of doing it with expensive products, high monthly auto-ships didn’t make it any easier. Yes, I could start it up. And if I could help the team copy that. Then this post would have a different title.
HOW I CROUCHED IT IN EVERY MLM I JOINED.
Most people fall for the glamour of the business. And they want it to happen fast. And if they don’t get high results in a few month oe weeks for some they feel like they got scammed and quit. Successful people in any business knows that it takes time to succeed. That you probably will fail many times before you have any success in anything you attempt. That’s just the reality of it.
I failed because I stopped when my team stopped. I felt helpless not being able to help my team. To help them do what I did. To Start the team. Today I know that to have any chance of real success in MLM you need 2 things. Ok, maybe a few more but these 2 things for sure.
[1] – The right company to be affiliated with. That’s what you feel is the right fit for you. And stick to it. Be loyal. Don’t jump from biz to biz like I did and many of my friends.
[2] – Keep working and be patient. Stick to it and the plan. Keep it simple. Keep learning. It can take years. Remember. This is your side hustle. This is what you build part time in your free time. Just do a little every day / week. Just keep grinding. Talk to a few people a week. Send them a text. Never push to hard. Always be nice. Don’t turn your personal Facebook profile in to a Join my business billboard. Your friends are not going to like that and they are not going to join your business specially if you done this a few times before?
NFL stands for No Friends Left in this business. You already pitched them every opportunity you ever worked with. And you never made it big. So why is this time any different? A good friend / mentor of mine told me. You only need to succeed ONCE for it to matter!
The name of the game is to stay in the game.
I’ve been in this circus for over 30 years. I know people personally that are successful in MLM. And guess what? They found the perfect fit for them and they stuck to it. They are loyal to the company and the team they built. They are leaders.
